performances

My performance practice unfolds through the interweaving of voice, poetic text, live electronic music and movement. Each performance is conceived as a space of encounter between sound, body and scenography : a hybrid, shifting territory crossed by narratives. Storytelling lies at the heart of my work. To tell is to transmit, to circulate memory, to share lived experience. Through intimate, fragmentary and collective forms of narration, I seek to generate active presence , moments where bodies and voices become sites of knowledge and carriers of histories.

These narratives do not simply describe reality: they shift its contours. Nourished by speculative fiction and Afrofuturist imaginaries, the performances invest the space of the possible. Here, speculation becomes a political tool, a way to break with dominant narratives, to crack the order of the present to sketch other futures, more desirable, more just. They unsettle dominant frameworks and carve openings for other ways of sensing and imagining. My performances are interstices of possibilities, cracks where other worlds can be dreamed of, sketched, and invoked. Within these environments, the Black body is a vibrating force. It carries histories of resistance, invention and world-making. It negotiates, it shifts and emits frequencies, becoming both transmitter and carrier.

Through repetition, bass, distortion and percussion, I activate sonic languages that draw on Afro-diasporic continuities while opening toward speculative horizons. Voice occupies a central position, shifting between spoken, chanted, or fragmented forms that move fluidly from ritual invocation to poetic fragment or political assertion, resisting fixed identity. Electronic sound, manipulated live through synthesizers and evolving rhythmic structures, functions as both expressive medium and compositional framework, shaping immersive environments. Drawing from techno’s insistence and ritual repetition, rhythm becomes architecture; vibration becomes a way of thinking through the body that stretches perception. It becomes both propulsion and grounding force as a way to inhabit time differently

Listening occupies a central place in these performative spaces. It is not limited to passive reception: it engages, it connects, it transforms. Listening is paying attention, it is making oneself available to the other, to the unspoken, to the invisible. The performances seek to create the conditions for shared, attentive, and affective listening : a listening that becomes an act of care, resistance, and solidarity.

Collaboration is essential to my approach. I develop performances in dialogue with artists, musicians and dancers, often within constellations shaped by shared experiences. Creating together extends the work beyond the stage, it is a way of building relations, sustaining community and rehearsing other forms of being through sound and togetherness : creating together is about resistance. This constellation - based work is about inventing ways of dreaming and acting together, at the intersection of practices and experiences.
